This is a service to cut your factory Glock slide to allow direct mounting of an optic (aftermarket slides cut with prior approval). Factory optic ready slides cannot be cut unless specifically stated. - Located by the front recoil bosses
- Mounts with standard 6-32 screws – neither hole breaks into any features of the slide
- Extractor side hole is shallow due to the extractor pin running below it, you only have 1/8″ of thread engagement on that side, so be sure to check that when mounting your optic/screws.
Mounting Screws:
This cut will include a set of 6-32 x 3/8″ flat head screws (require a Torx T10 drive to install). These screws work best with the Trijicon optics RMR/SRO/RMRhd. Recommended 12-15 in/lbs with blue loctite for install. You can also use the screws provided with the Trijicon optic as well, but please note the extractor side can only have 1/8″ of thread depth before it bottoms out in the hole. For the RCR, you will want to use the shortest set of Capstan screws
The provided screws will also work with most of the Holosun RMR footprint optics, however, the extractor side may need to be shortened, so we generally recommend using the short set of screws that Holosun provides for mounting their optics.
For all other RMR footprint optics, just ensure you have 6-32 screws and the extractor side only has 1/8″ of thread engagement.
Recommended Sights for Lower 1/3 Co-witness: We recommend .310″ (rear)/ .305″ (front) irons for use with most optics with this cut. For taller deck height optics like the RMRhd/SRO, these will give closer to a lower 1/4. We do stock irons in this height and they are labeled as ‘OPTIC HEIGHT’ on our iron sight page.
IRON LOCATION: You can maintain factory dovetail placement, positioning the optic in front of the rear sight. We also offer an iron sight relocation service to move the optic cut to the rear, allowing for a recut dovetail in front of the optic. Note that for optics like the Trijicon SRO and RMRhd, the rear dovetail cannot be moved forward due to overhang, requiring irons to remain behind the optic. We also offer racecut options that eliminate the dovetail completely and cut the optic in the rear position of the slide.
COATINGS: Three refinishing options are available. Cold blue is a chemical that reacts with bare steel and offers very little protection, but allows the refinishing of just the machined area rather the the full slide. The cerakote and nitride options are for the entire slide. We use H series oven cure cerakote and offer 5 colors. The black nitride is a OEM style metal heat treatment that improves surface hardness and gives the slide higher wear resistance compared to the cerakote. Note that nitride lead times are not guaranteed and may take 3-4 weeks.

THE PROCESS: After checkout, you will receive instructions for shipping your stripped slide to us (please remove the barrel and recoil spring unless you are also getting porting). We will perform the cut and/or refinishing and ship the slide back promptly. You will receive an email notification once we receive the slide (typically the day after it gets delivered to us) and a second email when it ships back to you with a tracking number.
TIMELINE: We will complete the work in the stated turnaround time (Mon-Fri) or less, including coating, after receiving your slide.
Note: Your order will be returned to the address provided at checkout. Follow instructions and include a copy of your confirmation email when shipping your slide to us to avoid increased turnaround time.

After I shipped it I contacted them and asked them to add the front serrations around the text. I was thoroughly impressed with the timely responses to messages. I was thrilled with the finished product. I promptly reassembled the gun and installed a Holosun 507c and Timney trigger. Today I ran 175 rounds through the gun and I could not be happier. Shipped it to Wager with a flat-rate USPS box for like $10. Sent out on Wednesday morning, they received my slide on Saturday. Work was completed and slide was sent back out by the next Wednesday (7 days from when I shipped it out). I got the slide back on Saturday morning. In just 10 days I had my slide back. Optic was mounted and torqued to 15 ft/lbs (as per Holosun’s instructions) using the hardware included from Wager and a drop of blue loctite. The quality of work is superb and if you are reading this just send the slide out already!! Go pull the barrel and recoil spring, wrap it up in some newspaper and go to USPS. It’s really that simple. I will definitely be using Wager again for any/all future builds!
